Last Thursday I went under to have repair surgery on a hernia that I have had for a few months. If you don’t know what a hernia is, it is a break in your abdominal wall which enables stuff like tissue, bowel or fluids to seep through. Is it painful? Yes, it can be quite painful at times and it limits you from the things you would never think would hurt in life like for instance:

Sneezing
Coughing
Lifting

Which is why I had to get it repaired.

It was really scary at first, because I had never been put under for any type of surgery ever. Never have I had been put to sleep for a procedure, but this time I did it by no choice. It was either go under or be in pain for the rest of my life.

So anyhow, I seem to be healing quite well – about 6 days later I am able to leave the house like I always do and so forth. I still can’t lift or do anything strenuous to my abdomen but I will be able to in time.

Thank you to everyone who wished me well, prayed for me, and told me it was all going to be alright. Your positivity meant the world to me. Even though the procedure lasted 1.5 hours, it still felt like an eternity just waiting for this to be done.
